Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index falls 3.22%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 3.22% at 3146.05 today. The index has gained 14.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Allahabad Bank shed 4.58%, Canara Bank fell 4.41% and Andhra Bank slipped 4.26%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has fallen 4.00% over last one year compared to the 16.94% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index has dropped 2.97% and Nifty PSE index has slid 1.53% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.65% to close at 11355.75 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.59% to close at 37644.9 today.
