Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index falls 5.90%, NIFTY Crashes 2.14%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed down 5.90% at 3108.45 today. The index has gained 0.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Punjab National Bank dropped 11.00%, Bank of India shed 10.11% and Union Bank of India slipped 8.38%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has soared 12.00% over last one year compared to the 7.30% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index has dropped 3.78% and Nifty Realty index is down 3.49% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 2.14% to close at 11558.6 while the SENSEX has slid 2.01% to close at 38720.57 today.
