Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index registers a drop of 0.83%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed down 0.83% at 2581.95 today. The index has lost 14.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Central Bank of India jumped 3.72%, Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd dropped 2.65% and Canara Bank shed 2.08%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has decreased 20.00% over last one year compared to the 3.63% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index has slid 0.79% and Nifty Pharma index gained 0.74% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.06% to close at 11053.9 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.14% to close at 37402.49 today.
