Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index registers a drop of 3.46%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed down 3.46% at 2294.1 today. The index has lost 7.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Syndicate Bank fell 6.63%, Indian Bank dropped 6.14% and Central Bank of India shed 5.99%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has decreased 15.00% over last one year compared to the 4.98% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Private Bank index has slid 2.75% and Nifty Bank index has slid 2.59% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.33% to close at 11474.45 while the SENSEX has declined 0.40% to close at 38667.33 today.
