Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index declines 2.42%

Nifty Realty index ended down 2.42% at 290.3 today. The index is down 11.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd shed 5.11%, Godrej Properties Ltd fell 3.91% and Phoenix Mills Ltd dropped 3.80%. The Nifty Realty index is up 27.00% over last one year compared to the 7.65% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index is down 2.40% and Nifty PSU Bank index has slid 2.27% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.39% to close at 11633.3 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.36% to close at 39745.66 today.
