Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index records a surge of 1.47%

Nifty Realty index ended up 1.47% at 259.4 today. The index has lost 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd jumped 7.11%, Phoenix Mills Ltd rose 4.70% and Sobha Ltd gained 4.19%. The Nifty Realty index has decreased 1.00% over last one year compared to the 3.89% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index increased 1.13% and Nifty Energy index gained 1.07% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.21% to close at 10840.65 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.23% to close at 36563.88 today.
