Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index rises 1.34%

Nifty Realty index closed up 1.34% at 239.05 today. The index is up 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Godrej Properties Ltd gained 4.85%, Sobha Ltd rose 2.66% and DLF Ltd added 2.65%. The Nifty Realty index is down 31.00% over last one year compared to the 2.02% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty IT index added 1.03% and Nifty Energy index gained 0.67% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.41% to close at 10771.8 while the SENSEX added 0.43% to close at 35850.16 today.
