Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index rises 1.70%

Nifty Realty index closed up 1.70% at 221.8 today. The index is up 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Godrej Properties Ltd gained 4.97%, Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd shed 4.67% and DLF Ltd rose 4.43%. The Nifty Realty index is down 26.00% over last one year compared to the 4.93% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Financial Services index added 1.10% and Nifty Private Bank index added 0.90% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.38% to close at 10616.7 while the SENSEX added 0.34% to close at 35260.54 today.
