Rupee ends lower

Indian rupee closed at 61.90/91 per dollar on Wednesday (01 January 2014), compared to its previous close of 61.80/81 per dollar on Tuesday.The decline is attributed to traders focused on key macroeconomic data ahead of the Reserve Bank of India's rate meeting later this month.
