Rupee slithers

At 61.11/12 per dollar

Rupee on Thursday (18 September 2014) lost grounds to open at 61.11/12 per dollar, against its previous close of 60.92/93 per dollar.

The drop is due to overall drop in Asian currencies thanks to surge in US dollar after the Fed indicated it could raise borrowing cost faster than expected when it starts moving.
