Rupee upbeat as dollar is on doldrums

Rupee closed higher at 63.8950/9025 per dollar on Friday (08 September 2017), versus its previous close of 64.1350/1600 per dollar.

A lure of concerns such as impending landfall of Hurricane Irma, tensions over North Korea, the ECB's indication it may taper its QE program, as well as a Fed rate hike that's likely off the table for December led to the broad decline of the US greenback against a basket of currencies.
