Rupee weakens

At 61.97/98 per dollar

Indian rupee weakened on Tuesday (17 December 2013) at 61.97/98 per dollar against its previous close of 61.73/74 on Monday, due to outflows from foreign institutional investors (FIIs). Caution also prevails ahead of RBI's policy review on Wednesday, where it expected to raise rates for the third time in four months.
