SJVN leads gainers on BSE's 'A' group

IDBI Bank, UCO Bank, Dena Bank and Future Lifestyle Fashions are among the other gainers in the BSE's 'A' group today, 4 January 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 88.12 points, or 0.26% to 33,881.50.

SJVN surged 12.32% at Rs 38.75 after the company said that the meeting of board of directors of the company will be held on 8 January 2018 to consider the proposal for share buyback. The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 3 January 2018. The stock topped the gainers in 'A' group. On the BSE, 18.75 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 1.54 lakh shares in the past two weeks.

 

IDBI Bank spurted 9.5% at Rs 65.10. The stock was the second biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 16.57 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 3.22 lakh shares in the past two weeks.

UCO Bank jumped 7.84% at Rs 33. The stock was the third biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 5.39 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 1.11 lakh shares in the past two weeks.

Dena Bank climbed 7.68% at Rs 27.35. The stock was the fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 18.4 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 5.07 lakh shares in the past two weeks.

Future Lifestyle Fashions rose 6.71% at Rs 385.05. The stock was the fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 29,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 4,048 shares in the past two weeks.
