Symphony drops ex-dividend

Symphony lost 1.84% to Rs 402.50 at 12:38 IST on BSE as the stock turned ex-dividend today, 5 December 2013, for dividend of Rs 6.50 per share for the year ended 30 June 2013.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 309.53 points or 1.49% at 21,018.24.

On BSE, 2,261 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 11,450 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 420 and a low of Rs 402.50 so far during the day.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 4 December 2013, surging 9.65% compared with the Sensex's 2.5% fall. The scrip had also outperformed the market in the past one quarter, surging 39% as against Sensex's 11.53% surge.

 

Before turning ex-dividend, the stock offered a dividend yield of 1.58% based on the closing price of Rs 410.05 on Wednesday, 4 December 2013.

Symphony's net profit galloped 598.5% to Rs 14.32 crore on 196.5% growth in net sales to Rs 72.08 crore in Q1 September 2013 over Q1 September 2012.
