Nifty May futures at small premium
The Nifty May 2018 futures traded at 10,608, a premium of 11.60 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10,596.40 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment dropped to Rs 5.32 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 14.32 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 86.30 points or 0.81% to settle at 10,596.40.
Bajaj Finance, Voltas and Bajaj Auto were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Bajaj Finance May 2018 futures traded at 2145.95, at a premium over spot closing price of 2139.
Voltas May 2018 futures traded at 554, at a premium over spot closing price of 552.75. Bajaj Auto May 2018 futures traded at 2796, at a premium over spot closing price of 2795.
The May 2018 F&O contracts expire on 31 May 2018.
