UCO Bank jumps on bargain hunting

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 143.67 points, or 0.75%, to 19,321.43.

On BSE, 21.36 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against an average daily volume of 5.44 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 66 and a low of Rs 58.20 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 86.65 on 9 January 2013. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 54.05 on 28 February 2013.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 3 July 2013, sliding 22.80% compared with the Sensex's 2.21% fall. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 1.88% as against Sensex's 2% rise.

 

The mid-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 752.63 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

UCO Bank's net profit slumped 80.40% to Rs 49.55 crore on 7.4% rise in operating income to Rs 4527.06 crore in Q4 March 2013 over Q4 March 2012.

Government of India holds 69.26% stake in UCO Bank (as on 31 March 2013).
