NTPC and Idea Cellular are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 26 September 2013.
ABG Shipyard clocked volume of 6.07 lakh shares by 13:38 IST on BSE, a 11.36-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 53,000 shares. The stock was locked at 20% upper circuit at Rs 300.05.
NTPC notched up volume of 4.40 lakh shares, a 2.24-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.97 lakh shares. The stock lost 0.07% at Rs 148.90 after a block deal of 3.27 lakh shares was executed on BSE at Rs 146.95 per share at 11:10 IST.
Idea Cellular saw volume of 5.33 lakh shares, a 1.36-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.93 lakh shares. The stock rose 2.76% at Rs 173.20.
