Volumes jump at APL Apollo Tubes counter

APL Apollo Tubes clocked volume of 5.72 lakh shares by 13:09 IST on BSE, a 63.26-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 9,000 shares. The stock lost 3.08% to Rs 173.20.

Cera Sanitaryware notched up volume of 2.06 lakh shares, a 18.01-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 11,000 shares. The stock rose 1.33% to Rs 444.60.

Mahindra Ugine Steel Company saw volume of 8.73 lakh shares, a 9.12-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 96,000 shares. The stock jumped 15.81% to Rs 68.50.

HCL Technologies clocked volume of 6.85 lakh shares, a 6.56-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.04 lakh shares. The stock surged 4.75% to Rs 706.25.

 

HCL Technologies' consolidated net profit as per US accounting standards rose 9.7% to $177 million on 3.6% growth in revenue to $1.154 billion in Q2 December 2012 over Q1 September 2012. The company announced the results before market hours today, 17 January 2013.

Pidilite Industries saw volume of 4.76 lakh shares, a 5.37-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 99,000 shares. The stock rose 0.83% to Rs 219 after 0.09% equity changed hands in two bulk deals on the BSE today, 17 January 2013.

A bulk deal of 2.99 lakh shares was executed on the Pidilite Industries counter at Rs 219 per share at 10:03 IST on BSE today, 17 January 2013. Another bulk deal of 1.45 lakh shares was executed at Rs 219 per share at 10:11 IST on BSE today, 17 January 2013.
