Great Eastern Shipping Company, Singer India, MTNL and Sunil Hitech Engineers are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 3 July 2015.
Gujarat Fluorochemicals clocked volume of 2.58 lakh shares by 13:50 IST on BSE, a 40.56 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 6,000 shares. The stock rose 2.66% at Rs 674.75.
Great Eastern Shipping Company notched up volume of 4.31 lakh shares, a 17.09-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 25,000 shares. The stock rose 0.5% at Rs 342.
Singer India saw volume of 4.07 lakh shares, a 16.68-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 24,000 shares. The stock surged 12.92% at Rs 208.
MTNL clocked volume of 43.28 lakh shares, a 12.9-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.35 lakh shares. The stock jumped 12.65% at Rs 18.70. As per reports the government may delist the telecom services provider ahead of its merger with BSNL. With respect to reports, MTNL, however, during market hours today, 3 July 2015 clarified that as far as the company is concerned no such proposal has been under consideration of the board/management.
Sunil Hitech Engineers saw volume of 4.11 lakh shares, a 12.32-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 33,000 shares. The stock was locked at 20% upper circuit at Rs 249.
