Mindtree clocked volume of 1.55 lakh shares by 12:48 IST on BSE, a 18.76-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 8,000 shares. The stock rose 2.34% to Rs 868.85.
Finolex Industries notched up volume of 5.55 lakh shares, a 6.65-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 84,000 shares. The stock hit an upper circuit limit of 20% at Rs 119.30.
ABG Shipyard saw volume of 2.52 lakh shares, a 4.77-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 53,000 shares. The stock rose 1.98% to Rs 324.
AstraZeneca Pharma India clocked volume of 1.34 lakh shares, a 2.94-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 46,000 shares. The stock spurted 12.20% to Rs 893. The company's board will meet today, 6 May 2013, to consider the strategy plan for the company.
