Weizmann Forex clocked volume of 14.90 lakh shares by 12:29 IST on BSE, a 521.26-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock jumped 4.97% to Rs 80.30.
Jagran Prakashan notched up volume of 7.30 lakh shares, a 50.12-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 15,000 shares. The stock rose 0.84% to Rs 89.75.
Tata Sponge Iron saw volume of 4.79 lakh shares, a 18.69-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 26,000 shares. The stock rose 17.48% to Rs 411.60.
Amara Raja Batteries clocked volume of 3.01 shares, a 17.92-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 17,000 shares. The stock rose 5.99% to Rs 351.95 after net profit rose 17.43% to Rs 95.01 crore on 13.69% increase in net sales to Rs 859.95 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q3 December 2012.
