At least 10 people were killed and 30 others injured Sunday when a suicide bomber targeted a crowded bus station in Nigeria's Damaturu city, a media report said.

A woman blew herself up at Damaturu's central motor park, Press TV reported, adding that the Nigerian authorities believe that the militant group Boko Haram carried out the attack.

Boko Haram claimed responsibility for a number of deadly attacks and bombings in various parts of the West African country since the beginning of its operations in 2009, which have left more than 10,000 people dead so far.

According to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Boko Haram violence has displaced nearly 650,000 Nigerians inside the country, while thousands have taken refuge in neighbouring countries.
