Ten new police stations have been set up in cyber city Gurugram, taking the total to 35.
The Haryana government has already issued a gazette notification for these 10 police stations, including ones in Sectors 53 and 37 here, and Sector 7 of IMT Manesar.
The existing police posts on the Khandsa Road, Sector 9-A, New Colony, Bajghera, Sector 14, and Sohna City have been upgraded to police stations.
Nearly 500 additional policemen too have been deployed to man the increased number of police stations.
Gurugram Police Commissioner Sandeep Khirwar, who inaugurated the police station in IMT Manesar, said more police stations will help improve the law and order situation in Gurugram.
