27 killed in Thai bus accident

A bus plunged into a valley in northern Thailand's Tak province at around 10:30 p.m. Monday, leaving at least 27 people dead and 24 others injured, media reported.

The accident happened after the bus' brakes failed, the Spring News reported, adding that 24 people died on the spot and three others were later pronounced dead at the hospital.
