30 kg ganja seized in Bengal, one held

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested one person with 30 kg of ganja, valued at Rs 3 lakh, in West Bengal, a senior official said on Monday.

Jubbar Ali, a resident of North 24 Parganas district's Bongaon, was arrested from his house premises with the ganja on Sunday evening, NCB Kolkata Zonal Director Dilip Kumar Srivastava said in a release.

He was produced in a court on Monday, Srivastava said, adding that the consignment was procured from Manipur and was destined for Bangladesh.
