A court here on Thursday sent AAP MLA Akhilesh Pati Tripathi to two days judicial custody in a 2013 rioting case.

Metropolitan Magistrate Kapil Kumar sent him to two days judicial custody in a case lodged against him in Adarsh Nagar police station in north Delhi.

According to court sources, a non-bailable warrant was issued against him last week for not appearing before the court on the date fixed for hearing.

The lawmaker from Model Town assembly constituency will be produced in the court again on Saturday, the sources added.
