AIIMS collaborates with Michigan University

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Thursday signed a pact with the University of Michigan to strengthen research capabilities in bio-medical sciences.

The two premier institutions will work together in developing scientific collaboration in the fields of cancer, immunology, genetics trauma and disaster medicine, AIIMS director M.C. Mishra said.

The MoU was signed by Mishra and Michigan university president Mary Sue Coleman.

"AIIMS will benefit immensely from the collaboration in gastro-enterology, liver, paediatric surgery, acute care surgery and organ transplantation," said Mishra.
