CMI Ltd, the BSE listed cables manufacturer, on Monday announced beginning of production at its new facility in Baddi in Himachal Pradesh.
The facility is part of the recently acquired General Cable Energy Private Ltd from General Cable Corporation.
General Cable Energy Pvt Ltd, which was rechristened as CMI Energy India Private Ltd, is in the process of being merged with CMI Ltd, according to a company statement.
CMI Ltd expects to add Rs.1,000 crore in capacity, with the commencement of this facility, and optimally utilise it in three years.
