Comedian Leslie Jones joins 'Saturday Night Live'

Comedian Leslie Jones has been roped in for 40th season of late-night comedy show "Saturday Night Live".

Jones, who was associated with the show as a writer, now joins as a full-fledged cast member, reports people.com

Jones will make her first official appearance when Jim Carrey hosts the show Oct 25.

Meanwhile, she will continue her stay as a a writer.
