Congress constitutes screening committee for Punjab polls

Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Saturday constituted a screening committee for the upcoming Punjab assembly elections with Ashok Gehlot as its chairman.

"Congress President Sonia Gandhi has constituted the screening committee for the forthcoming Punjab assembly election," said the statement released by Congress General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi.

The members of the screening committee include Secretary in-charge of Punjab Asha Kumari, PCC chief Amarinder Singh, CLP leader Charanjeet Singh Channi, Rajiv Satav and Meenakshi Natrajan.
