Costa Rica hold Spain 1-1

The Costa Rican football team held fellow debutants Spain 1-1 in Group E of the Women's World Cup here.

Spain opened the scoring on Tuesday with a Vicky Losada goal after 13 minutes but just one minute later Raquel Rodriguez Cedeno equalised for Costa Rica, reports Xinhua.

In the second half, although Spain had the upper hand, they missed several chances to score.
