Delhi saw a hot Thursday with the maximum temperature three notches above average at 41.9 degrees Celsius. The met department has forecast similar conditions Friday but cloudy towards the evening.
The minimum temperature Thursday was recorded two notches above average at 26.8 degrees, and the humidity wavered between a high and low of 41 and 16 percent.
"The sky will remain clear Friday but might become cloudy towards the evening," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
Friday's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to range between 42 and 25 degrees, respectively.
