Driver held with 5,300 tonnes of stolen copper

Milan, March 31 (IANS/AKI) Police in northern Italy on Friday arrested a man driving a van filled with 4,300 tonnes of stolen copper cables and flashings.
The 46-year-old man was arrested in Cerro Maggiore in the province of Milan after police noticed the van was overladen. Police estimated the value of the stolen copper at around 15,000 euros.
