Eddie Redmayne engaged to girlfriend

Actor Eddie Redmayne is engaged to Hannah Bagshawe, his girlfriend of more than two years.

The "Les Miserables" star popped the question to Bagshawe while they were on holiday May-end, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"He had been planning it for a while. They have a very relaxed and supportive relationship... they seemed to have always known they were going to spend the rest of their lives together," said a spokesperson of the British actor.

The 32-year-old star, who was briefly linked to actress Carey Mulligan in 2011, asked his future father-in-law for permission to propose before getting down on his knee.

"He asked her father's permission - the whole deal. (He) has been basically a part of the family for years now," said a source.
