The series is all set to air from 6 July onwards.

Anurag had shared the first look of his new venture on Twitter on Tagore's birthday (May 7), which is celebrated as "Pochishe Boishakh".

The show will feature some of legendary Tagore's masterpiece stories including "Binodini", "Charulata", "Atithi", "Kabuliwala" among others. While actress Radhika Apte will play the character of Binodini, Amrita Puri will be seen on TV for the first time in "Charulata".

At the event, Anurag told media that Tagore has always been his inspiration. "I've always wanted to recreate his magic for the small screen for over a decade. The show is set to take the viewers on a magical journey through old Bengal with great characters, exactly how Tagore created it in his short stories."

Epic's MD Mahesh Samat said: "With Anurag, we found the perfect synergy in vision and passion for recreating Tagore's stories."
