Seeded players expectedly moved into the second round of the girls singles as the main draw matches in the AITA Adidas-MCC National Junior tennis championship commenced at three different venues here Sunday.

Fourth-seeded Bhavya Wadhawan from Chandigarh led the girls singles field into the second round with a comfortable 9-4 win over Apeksha K Solanki (Karnataka) 9-4.
