Female leopard dies in Bhopal national park

A 20-year-old female leopard, Khushi, died in Madhya Pradesh's Van Vihar National Park here, officials said.

According to a report by zoo officials on Tuesday, Khushi was brought to the National Park in October 2015 when she was 18 years and 10 months old, from Burhanpur Van Mandal.

The autopsy of the leopard showed that she died due to respiratory problem. She was cremated soon after the autopsy.

Incidentally, this national park is one of the selected centres to care for injured and stray animals which get treated and rehabilitated.
