Finance ministers from 6 states to meet in Delhi

Finance ministers from six states and union territories will meet here on Thursday to discuss the prevailing tax structure and its rationalisation, it was announced here.

The finance ministers of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and the advisor to the administrator of Chandigarh will meet at the Delhi Secretariat.

"The meeting has been called to discuss the prevailing tax structure in the states, including excise and value added tax, and how it can be rationalised," an official statement said on Tuesday.
