Fire at Presidency University, no casualties

A fire broke out at the Presidency University here on Monday but there were no casualties, the fire department said.

"A minor fire broke out in the canteen. Smoke was seen coming out of the false ceiling," an official from the fire control room said.

A short-circuit in the concealed wiring may have caused the fire, he said. Two fire tenders were pressed into service.
