Forward Bloc gets invitee status in Kerala's UDF meetings

Kerala's Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) on Friday accorded invitee status to the All India Forward Block (AIFB) at its future meetings.

UDF Convenor P.P. Thankachen told media after a meeting of the opposition front here that it did not matter if the AIFB is aligned with the Left in other states.

"The Revolutionary Socialist Party is with the Left at the national level, but it is with us in Kerala. Such things are natural in politics," Thankachen said.

AIFB supremo G. Devarajan, a Malayalee, operates from Delhi.

The UDF comprises the Congress, Indian Union Muslim League, Kerala Congress (Jacob), Janata Dal-United, RSP, and the Communist Marxist Party (John) which is an invitee.
