Garbage dump explosion injures 2 at Kanpur college
Two persons were injured in a garbage dump explosion at the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Medical College (GSVM) here on Friday afternoon, police said.
The explosion took place when some locals were setting the garbage dump on fire.
The injured, identified as Suresh Kumar Hansraj and Aakash, have been admitted to the Hallet hospital. They are said to be out of danger.
In its initial probe, police feel that there could be a cracker buried in the dump but an official said they were exploring all angles.
