The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has told the municipal corporation to stop construction work for a library in a park situated in Sector 7 of Rajnagar -- a posh residential colony.
In a letter to the Municipal Commissioner, the GDA mentioned that the library was coming up in violation of Section (13) of the Uttar Pradesh Urban planning Act 1973.
Environmentalist Akash Vashishtha had pointed that the park was handed over to the municipal body for maintenance but it had started building a library there.
