Germany beat Argentina 1-0 for fourth FIFA World Cup crown

Mario Gotze's extra time goal gave Germany their fourth FIFA World Cup title after a 1-0 win over Argentina in the final at the Maracana stadium here Sunday.
Both teams were locked 0-0 at the end of the full-time with the match going into extra time.
Gotze's brilliant 113rd minute goal broke the Argentine hearts and created history as Germany became the first European team to win the World Cup on South American soil.
