Girl kills self, mother attempts suicide in Jharkhand

A Jharkhand woman on Friday attempted suicide after her daughter hanged herself from the ceiling of their house, police said.

Shocked over the incident, the grandfather of the girl suffered a heart attack early Friday.

According to police, the girl, a student, took the extreme step after a heated argument with her mother.

Both the mother and the grandfather are being treated in hospital, police said.
