Goods train derails in Madhya Pradesh

A goods train derailed in Madhya Pradesh on the Singrauli-Katni sector on Friday, affecting rail traffic on the route.

According to the Jabalpur Western Central Railway official, 31 wagons of the goods train derailed around 8.30 a.m. between Manjhouli and Devgram stations, causing heavy damage to the tracks.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

After receiving information about the derailment, senior railway officials and Jabalpur Divisional Railway Manager rushed to the spot.

A number of other passenger trains were diverted.
