At least two people including a policeman were killed on Friday evening by some unknown gunmen in southern district of the Kashmir Valey, police said.
Two more civilians were injured, one of them critically, in the incident.
A top police official confirmed to IANS that two people have died in the firing incident, he identified the deceased cop as Constable Manzoor Ahmad.
He said the injured persons have been shifted to District hospital Kulgam.
