Hamdard, Jamia school hoopsters win

The boys teams of Hamdard Public School and Jamia School came out victorious in their respective matches on the opening day of the ninth Inter-School Basketball Tournament here Wednesday.

While Hamdard beat Dev Samaj School, Nehru Nagar, Jamia came out on top against Bhatnagar Public School, Vasant Kunj.

In the girls category, Dev Samaj School, Sukhdev Vihar, beat Bhatnagar School, Vasant Kunj, and NGFS School, Saket, topped Step By Step School, Noida.

The tournament was inaugurated earlier in Jamia Senior Secondary School, Jamia Millia Islamia.

The winners qualified for first round.
