James Harden and Pat Beverley chose not to practice Thursday, one day after they helped the Rockets win the season opener on home court.
Beverley had been suffering from ribs injury, while Harden felt uncomfortable on back and left wrist, reported Xinhua.
Jeremy Lin also quit a few minute earlier because of leg injury.
The Rockets would face Dallas Mavericks Friday.
