Idea Cellular net up 69 percent in Q2

Aditya Birla group company Idea Cellular posted a 69 percent jump in consolidated net profit for the second quarter (July-September) of the current fiscal (2014-15), the company said in a Bombay Stock Exchange filing Monday.

The company has posted a consolidated net profit after tax of Rs.755.88 crore for the quarter ended Sep 30, as compared to Rs.447.61 crore for the same quarter of last year.

The total income has increased from Rs.6,385.91 crore for the quarter ended Sep 30, last year, to Rs.7,686.48 crore for the quarter ended Sep 30, 2014.
