IGNOU inaugurates certificate course in Korean language and culture

Expanding avenues for foreign language learning for Indian students, the Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) inaugurated the Korean language course at the here.

The six-month certificate programme -- "Certificate in Korean Language and Culture" -- which started taking student registrations in July, will formally begin classes after the inauguration.

The language, already available as a study option in (JNU), (DU) and (JMI), was termed as part of a "consistent endeavour to promote Korean language in India" by the South Korean
